I spoke to Marcel via FaceTime last night on his birthday

I will keep everyone updated as I get more info............
But IMO don’t see him leaving. He’s entering to explore his options bc of some personal issues that I won’t get into. Also having some family stuff going on right now.
Again, sky isn’t falling. Staff is obviously all in on Marcel. Let’s treat this similar to the LSU bball players declaring. Testing the waters bc of his situation but I think we keep him.
If he were to leave, I would consider it a personal failure on my part. Let’s ride.

Sounds like doesn’t want to play linebacker and is a way to get coaches to agree to that or “I have other options.” Just a guess

The timing of when the news broke (Friday evening news dump) does suggest that lsu is informed of, if not involved in, the decision.

I don’t mean it like f him gtfo. I mean that if he’s trying to strong arm the coaches about his position, that’s not gonna work and he’d probably be happier elsewhere.
