What’s a while? When did we get to this point?

Back in the year 1960, at UC Berkeley, a group of young people, many of them children of veteran Leftist/Socialist activists from NYC's teachers' union, banded together and began writing and thinking of ways to revive the Old Left movement that was most active in NYC during the 1930s.
As the 1960s rolled on, these young Leftists took advantage of the various crises of the 1960s that beset the USA. They formed what is now known as the New Left, and they were able to agitate and grow their movement. The ideas of these young Marxists became mainstream in the Counter-Culture of the 1960s and many of the USA's most recent political leaders and Presidents share the ideals of the New Left. In fact, you might say that the New Left, born in 1960 at Berkeley, are all set to take the country by storm.
David Horowitz can tell you the whole story about the New Left Radicals. He was a founding member.

The question is, "when did we get to the TIPPING point?"
And that happened a LONG time ago. There were a few canaries that should have told everyone.
Accepting the idea of a hate crime(which could EASILY be foreseen to one day be "hate speech)
The initial firings of white people for fairly mundane comments while black people could say basically any fricking thing they wish. And, don't even bring up Kap because the reality is, there are a BUNCH of guys who have been in the league the entire time who also kneeled.
The tipping point though pretty much dates to the 70s.
