Don’t get testy but why would you buy a battery omega and not mechanical??

I bought mine 25 years ago. There wasn’t a choice.

Some people just prefer the accuracy and/or grab and go attributes of quartz watches, not to mention the upfront and longterm being lower than a mechanical watch. My wife is also a watch lover but has a quartz Patek, a quartz JLC Reverso and several quartz Cartiers. They simply make more sense to her. She doesn't find the setting and winding of a watch an enjoyable experience and outside her Milgauss that she wears most of the time for work she usually hands me a mechanical watch to set/wind before she wears it because she derives no enjoyment from the process.
