It’s more dangerous to be a cop than an unarmed black male

Black men killed by cops: about 300
Unarmed black men killed by cops: 9
0.00000045% chance of being unarmed black male killed by the cops
The numbers of police vary. The DOJ says about 400k full and part time cops. The highest sources I see are around 700k, so let’s just use that number.
700,000 cops
89 cops killed on duty last year, but to steel man the other sides argument let’s go with the number 48. That’s the number of officers killed directly by the perpetrator during arrest.
0.00006% chance of a cop being killed by perpetrator during an arrest.

I generally agree with your point but comparing the population of a race with the number of cops is about as apples to oranges as it gets.
Also, 89 cops were killed on duty last year-- was that during an arrest or just while on duty? Does that number include things like being hit on the side of a highway during a traffic stop?

Black mothers greatest fear...son being stopped and killed by police.
They have a greater chance of being struck by lightning...but that’s the biggest fear.

Let’s do the chance of being a black male killed by the police NOT RESISTING ARREST
I can’t think of a single case but even if there are a few the chances are essentially zero.
ETA: I’ll even grant you George Floyd. Any others? If not we will go with George Floyd only.
That’s a 0.0000001% chance of being a black unarmed male killed by the cops and not resisting.
Or in other words a 1 in 10 million chance. And that’s with assuming George Floyd didn’t resist arrest. But if you have more cases I’ll recalculate.

We could drastically lower the number of people police kill by not shooting at police.
That would reduce the number killed by police by at least 75%. Or around 750 people per year.
