Mobile to Pensacola

The guy was at LSU with plans to open up a place in BR, but Graves beat him to the punch by less than a year so he went to Mobile.

3 5 finger combos with drink was $21 this past weekend when I stopped in Daphne on the way back from the beach.

Canes would have cost $25 with less chicken.

“ Fusaiotti moved to Mobile with his family in 1995 to help his father open a Smoothie King. Fusaiotti and Bechtel had never fried a piece of chicken until the weekend before opening their first location on University Boulevard in Mobile in 2000. The first location opened on April 28, 2000.”

Canes opened in 1996.

Probably a tall tale that Graves beat him to the idea. Math doesn’t really add up.

The guy (or his wife) is from Mobile, went to LSU, and liked the original Canes (Highland Rd.) concept and replicated it down the street from South Alabama.
