I actually think the hitting streak will be one of the hardest to beat. While a lot of the career pitching records will be very tough based on the way pitchers are utilized today the hitting streak is a relentless record. You only have 4 guys in the last 10 years that even got 30 and 33 was the max.

You can't have a bad day for over 1/3 of a season. Only Pete has gotten to 40 in the last 50 years. The clubhouse pressure would be UNREAL in today's media circus. Plus the pitchers will be gunning because they want to be the guy that breaks the streak.
