Me and 5 buddies are playing in the Hot Chicken Open. Sponsored by Hattie Bs Hot Chicken from Nashville. Breakfast, lunch, unlimited beer. And unlimited golf before and after the tournament.
New Fathers Day gift high from the wife. Feel like it’s Christmas Eve.

It’s incredible. You’re gonna have a great time. It’s almost a shame you have to play it for a score. It’s so much fun just hitting shots into and around the greens. I played by myself about 2 years ago and just messed around for 3 hours.

We are playing 18 for fun before, then 18 for the tournament, then maybe a twilight additional 9.

Awesome. It is a gem. Should try to squeeze another 9 out a Sawanee.

I need to just make a road trip and play it.
Jealous.

It's incredible. Did our annual trip earlier this year. Walked 27 and was pretty easy.
Love that place and cannot wait to go back in the fall. Also want to get to the Sewanee or Maclemore course.
Hell of a Father's day gift.

Bring a bottle of bourbon to take a shot of and leave in the “clubhouse”. Enjoy it!

OP how'd it go? How much hot chicken was available?

Yesterday was incredible. That golf course is challenging in the best way and in great shape.
Highlight for me was birdieing 7,8,9 in a row and almost holed it on 9 for a hole-in-one (few inches short) to end the first 18 hole stretch. But definitely came back down to Earth after the first 18. I hit a few wtf shots towards the end there.
After 30+ holes we all started fading fast on the home stretch Definitely could be in better shape and the booze started to get felt.
The course was in immaculate condition, the Hattie B's breakfast and lunch was awesome, and they gave everyone in the tournament the traditional whiskey shot.
Place is like golfer heaven. I've played Pebble and few other famous courses and I think that might be the most fun I've ever had on a golf course.
I can't recommend it enough.
ETA:
To answer the hot chicken question, they had chicken and waffles in the morning, hot turkey and bacon clubs for lunch with loaded fries, and shrimp cocktail after the round. They had the Hattie B's food truck up there and had plenty of food with very little wait time.
It was all awesome. Waffles aren't really my thing, but they were deep fried, more like funnel cakes, and were unreal. Of course the meats were great too. They underestimated the beer consumption a bit early on but made a gas station run and filled the coolers back up.
