It doesn't change the fact that my ancestors and myself faced years of hatred, murder, discrimination, and the likes of other horrible experiences. I witnessed burned crosses in my yard and hateful remarks in my life. My own experiences speak for themselves. You can try to use a small measure of history (a link for that matter) to make yourself feel better, but it doesn't erase what happened! There is more to the story...
