Wher do you propose we house criminals? Maybe at your house? And please don't try to tell us prisons are overflowing with people convicted of smoking marijuana....that is just not true. Violent criminals are what makes up the majority of our prisons.

I thought we as a society had come to the conclusion that prohibition is a futile endeavor. It won’t and doesn’t and never has helped curtail gun violence and certainly hasn’t done a goddamn thing to curtail drug addiction. The only way forward is to stop creating criminality out of human pain and suffering and substance possession. The war on drugs is and always has been an abysmal failure.

On that token, private, for-profit prisons should be 100% banned.

George Floyd got out in 5 years. Probably to make room for some non violent offender who make up 30% of the prison pop. If you don’t think these prison/ sheriffs are locking up people that that need to be in rehab, mental facilities then you are an idiot
