Where is the protest for the thousands of Blacks that are murdered every year across the county by other blacks?

I’m not sure where this myth was fostered that because there are mass protests about police violence that no one cares about the violence in and among the black community. It’s a product of abject poverty which ties into what people are protesting at this very moment.

I think people would be glad to help ALL poor, and have that conversation. But they also want to see some personal responsibility from said poor and underprivileged. It's a 2 way street.

It’s an attempt to redirect the conversation from something uncomfortable but addressable (as police are accountable to the public as government employees) to something that does not ostensibly demand much action or responsibility from white people. It’s not necessarily a conscious decision to shift the conversation, I think that “but what about them?!” is a pretty natural reaction.
