Drew Brees Did What He Did (And Is Doing) Only Out Of Fear & Self Preservation

He was scared and he wanted to preserve his career. Nothing more.
He doesn’t believe what he said (and is saying) on his apology tour. He didn’t go from believing in what he said with such conviction to not believing it in a matter of 48 hours.
What he is saying now is nothing but pr damage control out of fear and self preservation. There is no substance in it. He doesn’t believe it. He’s only saying it.

Preserve his career? He's a bitch boy in everyone's eyes now after saying one thing then being a pussy and apologizing for it. In addition to that, his career and maybe even life will be in danger for every future snap he takes. Those dumb woke leftists like that eagles retard wont forgive him what he said first and will be out for vengeance.

Hard to imagine what I would have done in his situation. His dilemma is one that will be looked back upon for a good while.

No one accepted his apology, and now the right has lambasted him for backing down.

I really don’t think it matters anymore what he said. It matters how he buckled. He had an impeccable reputation as a leader, philanthropist, and citizen. He is a Payton Award winner. He shouldn’t have had to prove to anybody he was an honorable man. His friends turned on him. It is a crazy, jacked-up country we have when you can’t even express patriotic thoughts without having friends, and people who should know better, turn on you.

Drew bent over for the PC Cancel Culture Cancer Crowd. All he originally said was that he believed you should stand during the pledge of allegiance.
But then he made the big mistake, apologizing. So in their eyes he admitted wrong. And they torched him AGAIN for it. And upon apologizing, he lost the respect of every fan he had that also believes in standing for the flag.
