So would you buy put’s?
Bought some july 17 2020 $2.00 puts for $0.31 last week...up to $0.52 today...got up to $0.64 already today, expect another yuge sell off when they formally announce BK later this week or next, according to "Sources"
Absolutely mind boggling the stock went up as much as it did last week considering how financially fricked they are as a company

Bought a 100 shares years ago when it was low... somewhere 7ish range ...never thought I’d make it back, but worth a small risk back then

You will never make it back

quote:need it to be, at a minimum depending on when you bought, $1300/share for you to get your most back

Like I said it was a risk, I get a royalty from them From some property interest ... they had taken a huge beaten/dive. 700$ is way less than one day work for me... so potential reward if they made it back Is no big deal. Bad investments happen all the time. Meanwhile I’ve more than tripled my money on shake shack, Netflix, Whole Foods, Wendy’s, garmin, Disney, j/j, etc... buy low/sell high or hold if you got balls

Lawler’s denouement, in turn, would signal the deep peril facing a shale industry largely built according to McClendon’s blueprint for Chesapeake: amassing incredible debts to pursue aggressive drilling programs that ultimately unearthed too little treasure to reward investors.
Lol this is the opposite of what happened, they unearthed so much treasure it made the treasures value about a tenth of what it was when they started digging, low IQ writer SAD

Saw this on another board:
CHK filed to resume production on 24 wells in the PRB yesterday. Production resumed on 6/23.
If true then it sounds like bankruptcy is off the table for now.

You are crazy! The BK is happening Sunday and the equity value will be zero.

Companies don’t stop operating when they file bankruptcy. They just reorganize debt and wipeout the shareholders. CHK has no choice. They’ve actually held on much longer than most thought possible.
