I don't keep up with it that much, but everyone deep in the crossfit game seems like whiny little bitches and morons. This Glassman guy is always saying dumb shite and Castro is one of the biggest douchebags I've ever seen.

I saw Hunter McIntyre's, the obstacle course guy, Murph deal this year and traced that back to him getting a wildcard at the crossfit games last year. I've never seen so man limp wrist pussies melt over a world class athlete getting a chance to compete.

The crossfit brand brought value 5 years ago, but a lot of these gyms have been around a decade now and established themselves. I wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch jump ship and just become "regular" gyms with nothing changing except saving on a franchise fee. One of the big players in the space like Rogue can put on a competition with the best athletes without the Crossfit brand easily.

I’ve thought for the past couple years that Crossfit was headed towards a professional golf model. You’ll have the PGA tour (Nike grid games) you’ll have the rogue invitational (US open) you’ll have the Dubai deal (British open?) and then you’ll have some sort of masters (traditionally Crossfit games, something else will fit here, maybe the olympics?)

That started 3 years ago or so

This will bury it

They have the model, they have the popularity. The branding power was already starting to fade
