That was just a preliminary investigation and they even said that the investigation would continue. Also, that was before the wiretap became public on HBO. Still, you would think that they need to have some kind of proof of payment whether it be direct evidence or circumstantial to really punish LSU harshly. Wade could probably get punished just for what he said on HBO if the NCAA wants to go that route.
