If you vote for AE for Heisman, you should lose your vote. Its like giving a Cy Young to a minor league pitcher.

ESPN won't recognize AE because he is not eligible to win the Heisman. Due to the fact that ASU is a FCS (aka Division I AA) school.

a lot of app state fans on here seem to believe otherwise

All Division I players are eligible for the Heisman. Steve McNair placed 3rd in 1994 from Alcorn State.
I don't think there is any way in hell Armanti would win the trophy. I think if he has a good game against LSU (even in a close loss) and plays like he has the past two seasons he could keep his name in the talk and maybe get invited to the ceremony.
The poll asked who had the best shot at winning it. I'm not really upset he isn't considered at having the best shot... because he doesn't.

Let's cut the crap..unless something drastic happens its going to come down to Beanie, Teblow, and probably Moreno/Chase Daniel I think.
Posted on 7/21/08 at 12:22 pm to Fearthehat0307
No Beanie Wells on that poll?
Posted on 7/21/08 at 12:27 pm to skjellyfetti
unless edwards puts up stats like he did for the richmond game, every weekend then no he doesnt have a shot
Posted on 7/21/08 at 12:35 pm to Armanti Edwards
He doesn't have a shot even if he puts up solid numbers against "powerhouses" like Richmond and Wofford.

Vegas Insider has him at 100/1.
If he had just thrown for 50 more yards last year he would have been the first quarterback in history to have 2 years of 1000 yds rushing/ 2000 yds passing.
He would be getting more hype if we would have had to pass at all in the last two playoff games.

He is being considered at 10/1 odds.
Its called "Field"
Also for the stupid idiot who doesnt think APP players are eligible read this you dolt.
Balloting is open for all football players in all divisions of college football, though winners usually represent Division I FBS schools. The closest that a player outside of the modern Division I FBS came to winning the Heisman is third place. Steve McNair, from Division I-AA (now Division I FCS) Alcorn State, finished third in the voting in 1994. Gordie Lockbaum, from Division I-AA Holy Cross, finished third in the voting in 1987.

Has, what...
2nd best odds on that list yet no mention on the ESPN Poll?
Posted on 7/21/08 at 3:29 pm to BuckeyeFan87
I don't think Armanti will win, or even be considered at better odds than this. He's from a small school in the Subdivision. He could post the craziest numbers anybody has ever seen and he still probably wouldn't get it...

Thats like the poll 2 weeks ago that asked which conference the champ would come from and didn't list the SEC

Spoon, do you do this just to piss App fans off?
You have over 1600 posts on a college football message board, so I know you are not ignorant enough to think that Div I-AA and Div-II are the same.
