Clearly there has been far too much smoke from far too many people who gather knowledge of such things to think there isn't "fire" that he will commit/sign with LSU. It's also clear as day that the other potential schools are doing what they can to change, or at least prolong that decision. Dick's tweet, which has been COMPLETELY uncorroborated, is clearly evidence of him being the mouthpiece for someone trying to get Cisse to change/prolong his decision. And the fact LSU was the subject of the tweet tells you that all involved think LSU is the school of choice. The question then becomes who is feeding Vitale the info? He's not, nor has ever been a journalist. His connections are simply limited to friends in CBB and the broadcast business. Memphis was thought to be the 2nd choice here. But is Penny and/or interested Memphis folks particularly close with Dick? Doesn't seem likely. The circumstantial evidence screams Kentucky and/or Calipari. He's got a long time relationship with Dick. UK is clearly heavily invested in college basketball to the point where the powers that be aren't above doing whatever is necessary to get a recruit they want.


At the very beginning of Dick's seemingly arbitrary level of hate towards Wade when all of this began I thought "maybe he's just a passionate guy who is unintentionally going a bit overboard on one particularly coach over a matter that involves many, many coaches throughout the nation." Now, it is abundantly clear that level of animosity towards Wade is coming from elsewhere and Vitale is just the mouthpiece.

If it wasn't clear before, then there is no doubt now. Wade has VERY CLEARLY pissed off at least one, and likely more, coaches (particularly in the SEC). His only "friend" seems to be Bruce Pearl. But you know what? frick them! They wouldn't shed a tear if they were kicking LSU's brains in year after year. So either get over it or get bent.
