I'm glad you posted this. This is exactly why we are in the situation we are in. Our leaders don't have the balls to enforce the law because they have to pander to their voting base.

From what I remember about the national response, many took the same way as Drew did...so my question to you is this...optically speaking if something isn't coming off as you intended don't you think maybe, just maybe, you should try a different tactic?

I don't advocate kneeling either and I also strongly oppose police brutality (my parents were cops and very good ones) and believe we need reform with training and more stringent requirements before being allowed to patrol. I also believe in equality and treating people fairly.

They are different arguments.

I think the point ppl miss is that you don't also get to stipulate what it means to those who have a different view point.

totally agree here. But isn't Brees doing exactly that if he says it is always wrong and people should never do it? He's not stating it as an opinion.

You can be wrong and I can still be friends with them. I know people who disagree with me about things and I haven't kicked them out of my circle.

I asked you a question. What does the fact that brees took a picture with the president of the US have to do with anything?

quote:

Hey Brees can have his viewpoint and he can make/state his opinions to the masses, however, we or I can call it out, because this has been too long for him to not understand what it's really about and be ignorant to the subject.

The same exact thing can be said about people who kneel for the anthem by people who support the flag for other reasons. How can you not see that?!

We have to let them moan and groan for a few weeks then the world can get back to normal

Jesus. We are in this situation because of pandering? Not because of police violating rights and in some cases murdering its citizens?

These type of comments are actually why we are in this situation.

Pandering is what got black people kicked in the face many times by the Democrats. People are seeing them for what they are now though.

Brees showed his support for BLM on social media just yesterday and has donated to multiple charities/causes in New Orleans and outside. I'm not sure why you're getting so triggered all of a sudden.

I answered your question on the prior page.

I'm doing the same thing you lot are doing based on anything michael thomas says. We disagree about our stance and will continue. Simple enough.

Don't sit here and tell me what a white man has done. It's not enough.

But because he disagrees with you, he isn’t automatically wrong, evil, or needs to be “cancelled.”

That reporter being from Boston clearly was doing Brady a solid by setting a trap for Brees and Brees walked right into it.

But that is an opinion, no? He thinks it's wrong. He never said people shouldn't be allowed to do it he just doesn't think they should. I mean, some Saints did it and some didn't. I could be wrong but I don't remember any of them blasting each other afterwards.
