I don’t think you understand how statistics work. He was just trying to normalize it. Are you upset how it is worded?

I also don’t think it is fair to attach any of it to race in the discussion.

All of this violence can be tied back to social group behaviors, economics, and education.

No, I'm "upset" that it is plainly a lie. A manipulation.

Another example for those who still don't understand. Let's throw the ratio way out of whack and make it 1000 white people and 1 black person. 1 of the white people attacks the black person, and the lone black person attacks 1 white person. How should we "adjust" these statistics? Should we take the 1 and 1, and multiply the black person's 1 by 1000 to adjust for population ratio? The black guy is 1000X times more likely to attack a white person than a white person is to attack a black person! No shite, there's only 1 of him.

Does it make sense yet, or should I try again?
