Side note, these last three recruiting classes for LSU (19, 20 and 21) are superb and put LSU in a place talent wise to have a chance to win a title at some point in the future. It all comes down to fine tuning and constructing good routines. OU has proven you do not need a team of all US national team members to win it. Taking what an athlete does well, fine tune some of the details and constructing a routine to their strengths to maximize their scores wins at a very high level.

As for 2022, I hope LSU has a backup plan if they do not get Selena Harris. Lilly alone can't be the only 2022 kid. CGA kids are usually pretty worn down injury wise in general although I hope Lilly can break that spell and be very healthy by the time she gets to LSU. I see her being a very nice contributor on bars, beam and floor. She has actually grown a lot within the last year which should help her generate some more power.

I’m just really excited for the competition in practice. That’s something that’s been missing the past two years or so. No one was really in fear of losing their place in the lineups, especially last year. That’s something that KJ Kindler harps on in her interviews. Always talks about how you literally have to fight to stay in the lineups. I think it’s especially good for the seniors this year. Desiderio is going to have to shape up if she wants to remain in the floor lineup. Dean is going to have to work on her leaps if she is to remain in the beam lineup. Same for Sami here.

Also, I think Oklahoma has silently reloaded with their recruiting class for next year. A lot of solid gymnasts who will only get better under Kindler.
