This thread is filled with the exact people that I think would not like a show like this. This show is very similar to VEEP, and I’m sure there are a lot of MAGA bros that didn’t understand that shows humor either.

I’m enjoying it so far, and the cast is solid. Malkovich is great, and I’m glad he’s gotten as much air time as he has.

I'm all MAGA.

VEEP is one of mine and my wife's favorite show in years. Loved that show. Hated to see it end. Bad time for HBO to me. Silicon Valley, Veep both ended near the same time, and those were pretty much the only shows I watched.

You know what was so great about VEEP?

They took the PC culture and shite all over it with no stopping. It made fun of everything and everybody. I really liked every character in it. Jonas was the gift that kept on giving.

I've seen the first 3 episodes of Space Force. I'm really really wanting to like it. I need a new show to watch and am a big fan of Carrell and Malkovich.

The jokes just aren't that good, and I really wish they were. You can tell where they try to have the big jokes during the episodes, but they just seem to not hit the mark.

I'm gonna give it a few more episodes. One episode is not long enough to get invested in the characters or the story, and that matters a lot when it comes to liking tv shows. Also takes a bit of time to watch Carrell and get Micheal Scott out of your head. Hard to appreciate the new role when you're used to him being regional manager of a mid-sized paper distribution company.

His character in Space Force is nothing like Michael Scott. Michael is a douche, a user, a jerk who isn’t ignorant, he’s not just insensitive, he has absolutely no regard for other people, their feeliNgs, or their personal space.

General Neird, on the other hand, is a passionate, tight-wound, well-meaning man, who just happens to be in way over his head. There is never any doubt that he tries to do right by others, even if he doesn’t always trust the scientists or understand them. He never throws them under the bus, and takes responsibility when he makes mistakes. Neird is a good guy. Scott is a douche-canoe with zero redeeming traits besides comedic value.
