My #1 favorite fighter of all time and the man who got me into UFC. His downfall was so depressing. The mid 2000s were an awesome time for ufc

Liddell was tough as nails and will always be one of my favorites. The combo of fights between Chuck, Couture, Tito, Rampage plus TUF and it’s incredible finale with Griffin/Bonnar was the era that got me into MMA.

Rumble on his run at light heavyweight was the hardest puncher I had seen until Ngannou

Of all the old fighters he would be the least likely to be successful today. Just not an elite athlete. But man was he perfect for the time.

Kevin Randelman on the other hand would be so fricking incredible if he came up today and had today’s knowledge and training.

Old UFC videos, like original UFC 1 videos are crazy. Royce Gracie just snapping peoples arms willy nilly. fricking brutal.

He was also very sloppy and raw. He would just start swinging like a wild man leaving himself wide open. Any kind of counter puncher would have their way with Chuck just Quinton Jackson did with relative ease. Once Chuck slightly aged as a figher he was easy pickings for everyone because he had such poor technique.
