Their Model 3 and Model Y popularity has made them a bigger luxury car brand than Acura or Infiniti. They will surpass Cadillac this year if they haven't already. As Model Y production ramps up, they could be threatening BMW and Mercedes-Benz within a few years.
I wouldn't underestimate Tesla.
But I also think people are putting deposits down on multiple Cybertruck models/configurations because they don't know what's coming first. They'll cancel the one they don't want later.
