The scary thing is that there is a fair chance of it making even MORE cash today....By now I am sure the more dimwitted of theater owners realize the demand now and are going to squeeze in even more showings in primetime.

I think Mall Rave added like 3 extra showings midday yesterday.

Your choice.

I personally don't have a 150-200 foot high res DLP projector at my house.

Maybe you do.

Otherwise you are missing out.

I might be the only person on TD.com who did not think it was the greatest movie of all time.

I haven't seen it.....and most likely will never make an effort to see it (if its on TV or something then I'll probably watch it). So you're not alone.

While nowhere near the best film of all-time, it is clearly the best superhero/comic book film of all-time..and by a country mile.

I'm normally not much a fan of the superhero flicks, but really liked Iron Man, and am by nature more an Cinema Paradiso, Amelie, Godfather Trilogy type..

But, Dark Knight is a masterpiece.

I agree. Not anywhere close to best all-time but easily the best in it's genre. I usually don't buy into summer blockbuster hype, but this is an exception.

+1

But I would probably find a place for it on my best all time top 10 list.

That is why I don't understand people looking at the movie with scorn insisting (almost as if it is a badge of pride) that they won't see it

I'm not getting that either. I would go, just to see what all the hype was about at this point, if I weren't interested in the movie.

because this is a opportunity for some people to stick their finger into the eye of a popular instance. They are usually too wound up and conservative to do that via clothing style, piercings, offensive political viewpoints, etc. and rather just take the safe 'this movie sucked!' or 'ill never go see it!' boasting to get the shock attention. Its silly too that this will be the one time in their lives when they actually take a bold and unmoving choice in their entire life.

or maybe their just buttholes.

I dunno. I'm high.

yeah it's hilarious to see the people so vehement against the movie. it's their loss though, they're missing out on a fun 2 and a half hours at the theater.

Exactly...no reason to be negative about this movie.

This movie will go down as the standard bearer for comic movies, and probably be somewhere in the top 10-15 crime dramas of all time.

I saw the movie at Rave Friday night, I did not think it lived up to the hype. There were some loose ends it did not tie up, it rushed the Dent angle, Rachel looked old enough to be Bruces mother, and overall I just did not find it that great. So I will not be like some that want to see it 2-5 times, I will wait till it comes out on DVD to watch it again or even tv. 3 hours long and so much of the story line seemed rushed to fit it into the movie. Heath ledger though, I will admit was amazing.
