Lived in BR area entire life. Considering a move to the Ville.
If anyone made the same move are you happy with it?

The people I know thought so. Been there several times, wouldn’t mind living there vs Baton Rouge

Who’d deliver the mail if you leave?

My cousin built a house up there about 10 years ago and loves it. Granted, he doesn't commute everyday to BR. Maybe twice per week. It's a nice little town.

I am where you grew up, just still there. Lots of crazy growth. Don't like it. I'm commuting to downtown so it's basically more milage but likely same drive time

Don’t live there, but my lady and I love it. With the way the rest of the surrounding EBR parishes are growing, I think it is the next area to become popular. Granted it is a little further, there’s hardly any traffic on I-110 compared to other commuting routes. Had friends that grew up there that commuted and would love to settle around there once done with school.

Any particular neighborhoods or areas around there that are nicer than the others? If I were to start looking for homes? I don't know the area well like I know the community I am in now.

What’s your life situation? Great place to raise a family but that’s about it. Buy some land and build.
If you’re moving there to buy a home in an HOA and ‘subdivision’, then go ahead and commit suicide.

It’s nice to visit for a day.

Most of the homes that caught my eye had a few acres. That's my style. We are not looking to leave after our next home purchase.
I did see some swanky homes located in the Bluffs. Just don't know much about what it's like in there
