How are you planning for Taysom to be your QB of the future when you don’t even insert him for what would be important game reps.
Again; 31yr old 1st year starting QBs are not a thing. I’m going to go with history on this one.

And yet you were one of the firsts to point out you don't pay someone 17 million dollars to touch the ball 5-8 times in a game.

I don't know what Taysom's ceiling is, but I don't think his floor is terrible though. He will likely need a better team around him than Drew required to be competitive, which Taysom making considerably less money than Drew helps that situation out.
With that being said, to your point about him getting meaningful game snaps, I still say that the last drive against Minnesota last season Payton should have put Taysom in at QB. He proved all game long he was our best player on Offense that day, Drew couldn't do much, I think Payton blew a big chance to light Taysom's flame as the legit potential starting QB.
