I get those numbers are likely inflated, but if 30% aren't really related to Wu Flu, it is at least on par with the normal flu, right?
When this is all said and done (if we ever get an unbiased analysis of it all), they may find that Covid is significantly more virulent than influenza for the elderly and high risk people, significantly less virulent for everyone else. Which could make sense due to the fact that the elderly and high risk are more likely to receive the seasonal influenza vaccine.
Edit for clarity: Covid may be more virulent than influenza in elderly because they have some immunity (via vaccine) for flu, but no immunity (no vaccine) for Covid. So even if Covid turned out to be equal or less virulent than influenza in low risk groups, it could still have a worse impact on high risk groups.

Are we going to blame the flu vaccine for this?
They are also more likely to be Vitamin D deficient with weaker immune systems in general.
People in big cities are also likely to be Vitamin D deficient since the buildings block out the sun and they have fewer open spaces in which to spend their time.

That's the craziest part of this virus. All symptoms range from nothing to death. The really crazy part is how kids are pretty much not affected by it.
