Why do you say that? He tried to take a gun away from a man attempting to hold him for citizen's arrest.

Or he tried to disarm two strangers with guns who were chasing him in a truck illegally (and yes, it was illegal, as he neither committed a felony nor did the rednecks have firsthand knowledge of him committing one, thus the "citizen's arrest" narrative is bullshite), blocked the road, and threatened him with their weapons.

I used to sneer at the term "white privilege," but reading responses like this on these message boards has literally changed my mind.

Just like this video and the responses to it.

If the guy in the video had been a white suburbanite (or even a black one) being harassed the same way that kid was for being in a public park during this COVID lockdown, the same people making sarcastic comments about the character of this kid would be calling the police gestapo and saying that the kid had every right to be livid. Even though in that case the guy in the park would actually be in violation of an order while this kid was doing nothing wrong.

He wasn't illegally parked. He wasn't committing a traffic violation. He wasn't firing up a joint. He literally did nothing wrong, but the police had to "investigate" him because "the area is known for drug activity." What bullshite. He was a young black male. That's it. And yeah, he was dressed according to black culture rather than white culture. So what? The police don't get to harass you based on what you're wearing.

Basically what you all are saying when you post this crap is how dare the kid get upset when he's harassed by police just for his demographic. How dare he defend himself from being chased by armed rednecks for committing no crime.

Doesn't he know his place? He's a black man. His place is to smile and shuffle and say, "Yessah, Mr. POlice-man, I sho is sorry I parked my car legally right here. Sho, I'll get down on the ground while you threaten me with yo taser. Do I have sompin to say about all this? No, no, Mr. POlice-man, I's just happy to see you all protectin' the neighborhood agains the likes of me."

If any one of you were subjected to the same treatment for doing nothing, you'd go absolutely ballistic. But when this kid pushes back against it, he's a thug.

All this video proves is that the kid had experience being harassed for no other reason than his demographic, which may have led to him being afraid for his life when he started being chased by random strangers with guns. As if experience would be required in that situation.

How do you know that? I doubt legal parking at a public park would be in the unworn grass so close to train tracks.

Ugh.
