LSU also played Bama at home the same year and lost a 3-0 struggle that they outplayed Bama.

We did not outplay them. We only crossed midfield twice and managed only 167 total yards. It was the most lopsided 3-0 game ever.

Ok..... I may have went a bit overboard. But LSU played and gotten into wining position just like against USC. Hokie got stopped at the goal line.

I remember it being a miserable game to attend. A cold and wet night game where LSU’s offense couldn’t get anything going all night. I remember leaving very frustrated.

I was going to say the same thing. Our defense came up big to
to keep the Tide out of the end zone, but they dominated the game
and could have won by 3 touchdowns
