Staining concrete floors

Looking to stain my utility room and guest bathroom floors. They are looking rough after 10 years. Pretty handy with everything around the house except I’ve never done this. I wanted to do this before I would sell the house. Any recommendations?

Clean the cement
Use hand held garden sprayer to apply
Let dry for a couple of days
Brush off the powered residue
Apply sealer
Let dry

Maybe a thought. We considered staining the concrete in the basement, but went with vinyl plank.
