Lot of stupidity in this thread. Don't you guys understand what is going on?

If you want to reopen, which is a good thing for the economy, we have to be able to test people and track the people who they have been in contact with who have the virus. If you're not willing to submit to that, then you have to stay home because you are a threat to everybody.

If someone tests positive in the restaurant, then state health workers will check the lists so that they can contact everybody who was there to test them, too. How else would you be able to slow the spread of this pandemic?

I just seriously doubt the ability of NOLA city employees being able to gather all of the data from everywhere that person has been in the last 14 days (it is also key that the person can remember everywhere they have been and on which day) and timely contact all those who were exposed. And do this not only for 1 positive test but for every single one

What's not likely to happen is that a customer of a restaurant tests positive after having been there and calls the restaurant to advise them or the state health folks or whoever. It may work somewhat if an employee of the restaurant tests positive.
