why are people downvoting Hamilton? is it not good?

i do think musicals have a difficult time translating to a production like this. but i enjoyed it even if i thought it dragged after the intermission at times. i dont think they did a good job at all with the political drama aspect

however, the establishment of hamilton and his relationship with eliza were very strong and worth the watch. happy i didnt spend thousands to see this though

The first act is definitely stronger than the second. We watched it last night (had seen the Chicago production a couple years ago), and my interest drifted off in the back half. I was listening along but not watching for most of it.

Lin-Manuel is supremely talented, but he is certainly the weak link of the performers in the original cast. I do appreciate the humility of casting the best people, even if they outshine you in the lead role.
