There is no situation where pursuing in a truck with weapons would be legally justified. None at all. They lost all credibility the minute they engaged in armed pursuit. There was no imminent threat to their lives when the fatal portion of this occurred.

It's certainly hard to conceive of a legal scenario that would support those actions, but I've been surprised before.
Problem is, none of us will ever know all the evidence. Even after a trial.
But I agree that if the law does support that action, it shouldn't.
