Pete would have been a great Harlem Globetrotter - he was a good circus act. Name one team he played on, that he made others around him better. There's a reason why all the teams he played on were mediocre at best. Apologies in advance to all the boomers I know I've offended.

can you even name one of his teammates that was any good? He was always the star with no supporting cast. And even those resented him for his contract.

At one point the Hawks signed Dr J for an off season (ABA sued for his rights so he was never able to play the regular season), and the 2 of them together was supposedly spectacular. Pete needed teammates on his level, not ones that would deflect his no look passes out of bounds. Another reason he'd be better in today's game.

Not only that, Dr. J almost played for the Knicks after the merger but the Knicks were stubborn in not waiving the Nets’ territorial fee and wouldn’t agree to take his contract, probably cost the Knicks a title or two methinks

Maravich was drafted to a 48-win Hawks team. Five of the Hawks top six leading scorers returned to the team along with the same coach in Maravich's rookie season and their win total dropped by 12 games. How do you explain that?
