left out last Friday, got stopped at the Florida line checkpoint. I went for work so I was good to go. Worked in Panama City Beach a few days..beaches packed and bars open. cruised back through Gulf Shores. worked there a few days.. beaches pretty packed, bars mostly closed; never met so many people ready to welcome a tourist i mean worker from another state
what i learned is everyone wants to work

ETA..on the checkpoints, are people from Louisiana just not allowed in if they don’t own property and aren’t going there for work?

You ARE going for work.

I just drove from BR to Jax on Thursday. When they stopped me, I told them that I had spent the last two weeks in Gulf Shores and I was going to Jax to visit my grandchild. They waved me on through.

What kind of work do you do? And how can I do Gulf Coast work too?

What about people from Alabama?
And will they believe that I'm going there for work if my SUV has a wife and two kids and trunk is packed with very colorful, sandy equipment to do said work?

It's only the La people that they are worried about.

They have you fill out paperwork and you put on there whether it is business or pleasure. They literally don’t care why you are there. I put pleasure and that I was going to my condo. The lady didn’t even read the paperwork and we were on our way. It’s a pointless act but I guess they can pretend to be doing something.

I believe you, but that also means some jack frick could be there and say, “turn your arse around.” No refund for me if that happens.

I experienced the exact same thing at the checkpoint..the workers don't care or look over the information you write
