It must be so hard for a person making tens of millions of dollars a year since they were 18 years old

Every time Bron Bron goes outside he is gunned down by millions of Nazis

MJ: I realize that I'm black, but I like to be viewed as a person, and this is everybody's wish.

Lebron: Being black in America is tough

If you take the basketball skills away from both of these two, who do you think would be more successful in life?

Has LeBron ever in his life come out against black on black violence? Those gangs in Chicago ACTUALLY are hunting ppl in the streets.

No, he’s never gonna talk about that. Just like he didn’t speak in the China situation. He only speaks when he thinks it gains him favor.

This is my problem with BLM and the rhetoric Lebron spews. I’ve read a little about this case and these dudes seem guilty as frick. I’m far from a “back the blue” person, a ton of cops are power hungry idiots with a high school education who love to abuse the power they’ve been given.

But when you go to the absurd hyperbole Lebron is here and many others do I just can’t back it

I’ve never understood this comparison. It’s a completely different dynamic. Gang members shoot people because they’re gang members and bad people. It doesn’t need to be spoken out about because it’s something everyone can agree is a problem - gangs are an issue and no one thinks they are okay.

This is different. It’s an innocent black man dying because, well, he’s black. Racism is still very real and very alive and it does hurt the black community. These things need to be spoken out about because people (see this board) don’t believe racism is still an issue.

ETA: Lebron is overly hyperbolic for sure. I’m not agreeing with his post. My statement is in response to the popular “black gangs shoot black gang members all the time” rhetoric that seems to be what some people want to talk about And focus on when these stories pop up

Something tells me post-playing career LeBron will be more successful than post-playing career Jordan.

Exactly.

It’s fine to be upset by this. I read the story. It’s sad. But I the extremes people go to on one side or the other is infuriating. They choose their side and ignore what’s right in the middle....common sense and reason.

Wait.

So we know that gangs are bad and that is not worth talking about because we know it

And we have been talking about this "racism" for 160 years but that is not known even though it is all we talk about?

I am not following.

One instance of a known bad thing is worse than thousands of another known bad thing?
