I guess I'm missing something in the video, because they don't seem to be holding him up at all. I don't see anyone pointing a gun at him until he's trying to take it from the guy.

Yeah, the video could have been better, but apparently they'd already followed him enough to cause him to change directions, then u-turned, followed him again, pulled ahead of him and tried to block the street. With one guy in the back like he's on a damned safari. Looks like the jogger tried to go around the truck, but we can't tell what he saw when he did. Probably some dumbass pointing a gun at him; I'd have feared for my life as well.

You can't really see what is going on in front of the pickup until after the first shot is fired to say that, but from what I can see it doesn't look like he tried to take the gun until after it was fired

So if two people in a truck chase you down and try and abduct you at gunpoint you wouldn't try and defend yourself and get out of the situation?
