It’s hard to compare any offense to the one we just saw at LSU. I don’t really see any SEC QB that is going to move the chains in the manner that LSU did.

Even so, Farrell is the exact type of guy you want on the field

Farrell gets enough push to be fine at RDE just like Tyson Jackson was on Pelini’s last defense. In fact I think Glen Logan can do the same if needed.

He’s not a Cam Jordan-like two way guy where he’ll get 14 sacks, but for a college defense end he will work just fine. 4-6 sacks, edge anchor vs run. Will prob see him & Logan inside on pass downs.

The 2007 defense was built for 2007 offenses.

its 2020 and lets be real likely spend more time in 4-2-5 than 4-3.

how many successful defenses have a "rushing down" SDE?

Cam Jordan is the prototype and who do they have across form hin? Davenport another 270 point guy who is supposed to do both.

Or you can look at the Vikings with Hunter and Griffin

Look at those great Clemson Defenses with the best Front 4 in the Country

Austin Bryant (270) and Clelin Ferrell (260)

None of Ohio State's defenses are over 270.

As good as guys like Tyson Jackson and Marcus Spears were, that was a different era, and neither played 4-3 DE in the NFL.

Farrell actually led all LSU Dlinemen in tackles, sacks and TFL last year.
