You should read "The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion" by Jonathan Haidt.
But you won't.
It is so much easier (and more fun) to attribute "evil" to those who disagree with you.

is this your opinion or something you read? just because it's in a book doesn't mean it's true.
good and bad has been around since the beginning of man.
what do you know about "evil"? do you acknowledge that there is evil and there is good?
