Hope he is here for the long run.

Me too if that means he's doing a great job. However, once they get a taste of being a HC, they all strive to get back there. Just look at Orgeron. There aren't many Venables out there that are content being a DC for 21 years and counting. I'll just be happy if Pelini is here long enough to win another natty or two.

I'm happy with the hire but I actually liked that Aranda was a more cerebral scheme based coach because O doesn't bring his own scheme. What Aranda did to Clemson was genius.

What he did to Ol miss was not.

I laugh at people who say "you lost your DC, these players, you can't win again like this year"...."flash in the pan"...

Bo has been here before, won a title, had top 5 defenses.....LSU gonna mess SEC up again.

How much you want to bet he flames out at Baylor

I agree. He's a great DC and probably needs to stay a DC. He's young and may learn a few things on his journey.

Alabama with Tua and a healthy Texas were pretty elite offenses

Georgia, Oklahoma and Clemson were elite also, but the defense came to play. They were porous in the first half of season. IMO

That will be a joy to see folks getting the snot knocked out of them. Looking forward to a more aggressive defense as long as they are under control and look excited about doing it.

Pelini has calmed down a lot.

Every coach yells.

I believe that girl in the pic is his daughter...imagine what had to be said for her to make that face she did.

miles ran off Steele

IDK if this is true or not. I think it's entirely possible that Steele was telling the truth about the Alabama retirement system being the reason for the move.

It's also possible he saw the handwriting on the wall for Miles.
