I tried to Google this unsuccessfully, but does anyone on here know of a site with archived LSU radio broadcasts? I'm mainly looking for basketball, and I'm talking all the way back to the late 70's if possible. Am looking for something to listen to while exercising. TIA.

The most important old radio broadcast you can get a copy of is the 1959 LSU Ole Miss game. The national archives has a copy of that can that was donated to them about 10 years ago. A person in Chicago used to tape radio broadcast, he happened to tape the LSU game that night in Oct of 1959.

I have several recorded on Cassette tapes. I believe the oldest is the 69 Ole Miss game. I drag one out every now and then and listen to the "Golden Voice" of Fighting Tiger football...John Ferguson!
With a filled Tiger Stadium (only 63,000!!) it was amazing how loud it was.

I can't exactly remember how I found it, but the LSU vs. Ole Miss 17-16 game back in 1972 i believe is on the internet. The radio broadcast of the entire last drive is broadcast. John Ferguson on the call is spectacular. One of his quotes before the touchdown pass from Jones to Brad Davis, he says something like, Jones throws to the endzone but once again no cigars. Classic. Greatest call on radio I believe I've ever heard.

Used to be a guy named Good Ole Mac who had game tapes. Can't remember if they were TV or radio.
I would love to have tapes of classic games where the TV tape was synced with the LSU radio call.

Well, there’s your problem. You shouldn’t try to do something unsuccessfully.

Try calling LSU directly, maybe the sports information dept or LSU radio.
