All the Karens and Chads whining about delays to opening up, what are they going to do when we open up prematurely and see another spike in a month that shuts us down for an additional 6-8 weeks? That'll be equally as devastating, if not more so, to the local businesses they claim they're trying to save. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Bored? Go read a damn book. Get a hobby.
Where is it you think the virus will go while we wait another month, two months, three months? It's going nowhere and any vaccine (much less mass distribution) within the next 18 months would be a miracle. The curve has been flattened. Hospitals are fine, and some are in financial distress because they cannot perform the elective procedures that actually make money. Open slowly and smartly where deaths are low and take personal responsibility for your own health.

This. I too would like to know what maltisyeezy thinks will happen to the virus in 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 months? It ain't going anywhere.

It's obviously not going anywhere, and we obviously are not going to see a vaccine soon. But our numbers are still 12k+ for the metro area, which is nothing to just dismiss. Sit still, let the numbers continue to drop, and we can then ease into the new normal (whatever that might be) once we're at a point where we are no longer flirting with a second spike that undermines the waiting we've done thus far.
