My dad put a pool in at his house about 15 years ago. It’s a relatively small pool in a really nice and shady spot in the back yard. The shade is outstanding for keeping the water nice and chilly, even during the hottest months — but he said it’s a ton of work keeping it clean.

Still, it’s a great pool.

Love my pool.
I make my kids vacuum it once a week.

Smaller is better IMO.

I have trees surrounding my pool. It's nice for shade, it's a pain to keep clean. I have a guy who comes by and cleans it weekly, I wouldn't want to deal with all that nonsense.
