The message board at chiefsplanet.com is going nuts in a good way about picking Clyde

Edwards-Helaire broke 70 tackles on just 214 carries this season while gaining 782 of his 1,419 yards after contact,” Cam Mellor of PFF wrote. “He added incredible value for a running back by limiting himself to just one fumble and by hauling in 55 receptions for another 453 yards and one touchdown. He led the country with 25 first-down receptions out of the backfield and had the nation’s seventh-most broken tackles after the catch.
"(Edwards-Helaire) was one of the nation’s best backs from an all-around perspective, and he, like the rest of the LSU offense, did not finish a single game with a below-average grade in 2019.”

He got the 10 million dollars that Delpit and Fulton lost by dropping down into the 2nd round !

Andy Reid made the absolute best pick of the first round for his offense. The AFC is officially fuuucked

Actually......I thought he would be the kind of player that Big Bill and the Pats would go for.......
The Chiefs got a steal........

He will be so good in KC. What a perfect spot.

Thinking the Chiefs will keep Darrel and let Darwin Thompson go.

I told Mrs. Midnight, "There is not a person alive, not Clyde, not Clyde's family, not even Clyde's agent more happy about his going in the first round than Joe Burrow."

You are correct but also forgetting Swift from Ga who many thought would be the first to go. Go Clyde.

He was our consolation prize when we missed out on Etienne. They both turned out pretty damn good. Etienne may be the first RB taken next year.
I’m very happy for CEH

LSU grad living here in KC. Couldn't be more happy to see Clydesdale coming here. The Hunt family runs a great organization and he'll be welcomed to this city. They'll love him. His personality will fit right in. I hope he has a great career at this level.

He'll do well in the NFL. He's a multipurpose back that can pass block and catch. He's able to get yards when there's little space. Breakaway speed is not as big of a deal in the NFL because everyone's fast. Quickness and ability to cut and grind out yards is a better quality. You want a guy that moves the chains and CEH does that.
He's a great fit for KC's spread O as well. Clyde in space is a dangerous thing. One of my favorite Tigers. I'm so happy for him.

KC is a great team for him

Think about this - KC was in a position to take "best available" or, if they didn't think value for them was there, trade the pick.
In their analysis (the best team in the NFL), CEH was the best player available and a value with the 32nd pick.
Indeed.
