Peeps, looking for some feedback. i was thinking of overhauling my trading account. most everything I buy are longs.
i have some long time losers that i don't think will ever come back enough to wait.
I have some winners that i don't care to hold onto.
so my thoughts are to sell those losers against the winners.
this includes all Oil and Gas majors, because im not sold on them holding dividends or ever becoming close to what they were.
Right now i would be selling about $30,000 of gains against $36,486 of losses.
the total market value i would come out with to reinvest would be about $82,000.
Gains:
COF - big bag, have load of JPM and AFL i'll be keeping.
VMW - big bag, seems like i've gotten what i can out of this. been holding since like $70
VIG & VUG - those were my safe play hedges in march.
ADM - bores the shite out of me. practically flat
CVX - down a good bit, but still have a lot of value to move into better.
XOM - Ditto
MRO - ditto
LNGLF - sigh
OII - also sigh
couple pharm stocks that flat lined without SL's

PINS

The excitement around the ability to customize your iPhone homescreen following the release of iOS 14 has been paying off for Pinterest. According to new third-party estimates, Pinterest’s app has seen record global daily downloads and a swift climb up the App Store’s Top Charts as users sought out iPhone design inspiration — like photos to use for custom icons or wallpapers to match their new widgets, for example. App store intelligence firm Apptopia was the first to note the impact of the iOS 14 customization trend on Pinterest’s downloads. According to its data, Pinterest saw a record high number of daily downloads on September 21 when it recorded approximately 616,000 new installs worldwide.

LVGO and TDOC both crossed over well established resistance today. In the analyst upgrade today it was hinted strongly that a 3Q earnings beat for TDOC is likely (thus the 250 target).
Don’t be shocked if we see all time highs in these two approaching the merger. They are both going to want to raise expectations in this next earnings call, an I think the market needs a reminder about how well regarded each company was before the announcement
