there is $5T still parked in MM funds, even now.

With the end of the second quarter approaching, there could be a move from fund managers to reinvest that cash in stocks to reach allocation targets. Richardson said she expects the market to make a technical move higher as investors moved back into stocks or high-yield bonds from cash, especially with interest rates so low.

“With real returns being basically nothing and the Federal Reserve saying that they expect to keep the federal funds rate near zero through 2022, that only amplifies the incentive to rotate back into equities,” Richardson said.

Has anyone looked into Comtech(CMTL) any? I’m watching and looking to probably buy in soon, I’ve owned Gilat(GILT) and still do and the companies have already announced a merger into CMTL.

Which stock should I own when the merger occurs, all GILT shares will go 70% cash and 30% CMTL shares

Yes I have. Posted it on here the other day. Travis Johnson is in it too, did a piece on it last week. Seems to be bullish on approval. I took a GILT position in shares and options.

Just found this little bit of info...apparently Shane McMahon is one of their VPs. Scroll down a little.

Do you own both GILT and CMLT? If so which would you prioritize?

I tried to make a SPAC thread weeks ago to try to help out fellow MT'ers but it did not get much traction.

I don't have any knowledge to add to that thread, but I've had it bookmarked and I'm tailing you on a lot of the SPACs that you've mentioned in your posts.

What is your opinion of SHLL/HYLN?
Will it be a long term hold or quick in and out. I think its an awesome place to be in EV investment realm. Wish I had listened to my inner voice and bought 1000 this morning.

maybe explain what a SPAC is and what to look for.
I dont personally have a clue so I’m interested in learning

I think that most of us here are long buyers, searching for good stocks to buy/hold/add. I’ll also assume most of us have real jobs and can’t watch all day. Flesh that thread out and let’s make some money

I wish we could have separate threads for day trades, swing trades, and buy/holds. There’s a lot of great stuff on the discord... chat room?... but it’s hard to follow when you don’t check up on it every 30 minutes.

MLB spring training will start July 1st and 60 game season begins 7/24. Let’s see if this gets the ball rolling.

That just proves it is not a pump and dump if one of the McMahon’s is on it

No. Just GILT. It’s kinda long but here is TJ take from SG:

Commtech has agreed to pay $7.18 in cash per share for Gilat, plus 0.08425 shares of CMTL per GILT share. $7.18 would be a nice 15% cash return from the current $6.25 share price, so that’s pretty compelling. Comtech stock has been falling, but is still at about $16 a share — so the stock portion at today’s prices would still be worth about $1.37 per Gilat share. $7.18 plus $1.37 is $8.55. So that’s the potential return from a $6.25 investment right now IF the deal goes through without changes and IF CMTL is still around $16 a share when that happens (it could be higher as well as lower, of course) — $8.55 would mean a return of 37%.
I see the deal as highly likely to be consummated, so I placed a levered bet on that — buying both GILT shares at $6.25 and and GILT December $5 call options for about $1.55. If the deal goes through or is seen as likely to go through by the end of the year, then it’s likely that GILT shares will be well above $7 in December. If the shares recover to $7 to reflect just the cash portion of the deal minus a couple percent given the time lag before the money is received, then that’s a return of about 29% for the options and the shares would be reflecting an increase of about 12% (the options I paid $1.55 for would be worth $2, and $7 = $6.25 plus 12%). If the shares recover to more of a real measure of the value, say $8 a share, then that’s a return of near 100% for the options and 28% for the shares.
