I'm not denying that the state isn't hurt over the low oil prices, but everyone in industry still has to file their taxes and submit their financials at the end of the day right?

So you’re completely isolated in Louisiana from the precipitous drop in oil prices? Your home won’t lose value? You won’t lose clients?

Even the healthcare industry sees big revenue drops during economic downturns. I'm not necessarily referring to coronavirus either. They hurt in 2008-2009 like most other industries. There aren't many that are immune.

Just wait until we completely overhaul the tax code and simplify the shite out of it. What if we just did away with income tax and went solely to sales tax. Yes I know, this will never happen but I can dream.
