I would like to get some dirt to make a bike jump. I probably don't need a whole dump truck load but would this be more economical than getting 4 fills of a pickup truck bed?

If you are serious you need to make some calls in your area. Price varies wildly depending on quality.

Do you want someone to hold your hand for you through this entire process? Is mommy unavailable to do your project for you?

Why don't you put your honest share of effort in and at lease google the most basic of information.

City of central? Good luck finding anything besides sand a gravel. You want some borrow pit clay for a ramp. Look north or south of you.

You. Me. Sonic. Now!

I mean if I truly wanted to get to the bottom of things I would google it and then go to reddit and youtube. I like this venue for the local-centric discussion. My initial googlings found that there's a ton of variance region by region.

20 yards is $230 by me OP, but that’s fill dirt/ sand. I’d think you’d want something with clay though to pack down?

Most of your construction dirt delivery companies will help you out as far as advice. They get residential calls all the time. Just call one and ask.

Damn, price sure has gone up over the years. Of course I'm going back to the early 80's when a full size dump truck cost me $40 and it came with all the exercise a person would want.

Back then I'd move that load by wheelbarrow in one day. Now, it would probably take me the better part of a week.
