I am concerned as to whether or not he can be an every down passing quarterback though... I mean it's great to be mobile but you've gotta be able to excel in the passing game against the defenses in this conference... I expect him to split time in his freshman season, coming in on lots of option plays and whatnot like Perriloux did and with Lee or Jefferson taking the bulk of the snaps.

Just my guess, I can't see him starting right away as our guy in his Freshman year like I hear a lot of people on here claiming he will.

He won't be starting his freshman year. He will get ALOT of snaps though and should make a big impact.

To be successful as both a runner and passer in the SEC, you have to be able to do both. That being said, you can run to set up the pass like Pat White. I saw him play High School ball at Daphne, and he was an amazing runner. The same path could be taken for Shep. (The only difference is that White plays in the Big East where there is no defense.)
