Charge port on iPhone isn’t working properly

I have an iPhone 7+, and recently I noticed that the charging port is loose and won’t hold a charging cable. Is there a fix? Can I bring it to one of those I-fix-it shops?

Blow out the port with compressed air. You probably have build up of dust/dirt/skin cells in there

Mine just started doing the exact same thing.
ETA: Compressed air didn't do much, but a small toothpick got a ton of crap out. Kind of gross actually

Ive done this but with a paperclip. It was full of lint from my pocket. I just straightened out a paper clip to get it out.
Toothpick would also work as other poster said.

I’ve done all of the cleaning and it still isn’t working properly.

I’ve seen stuff get really packed down at the bottom. Ive had to use a small pick to scrape it loose. Even used a little bit of alcohol on a cotton swab with a pointed tip. Be careful, though and make sure your phone is off. The swab would need to just be slightly damp and give it time to evaporate after cleaning. Do this at your own risk, though because if alcohol gets up in the phone it can damage it.

I've done this before. Luckily my new iPhone is wireless charging

Easiest way to check if there is debris is to plug the lightning cable into the dock. If you see even the slightest gap there is Additional debris. Using the light from another phone can help show if there is debris. Often times it can get stuck in the corners of the dock. If it’s still happening check with another cable to see if the issues persist.
