sent everything to my banker and told him to let me know if he needs anything else. I followed up with him yesterday and haven't heard back

My banker only contacts me when he needs something. I asked for a status update a few days ago. Never got a response concerning that. Couple of days later, he calls me to ask for an updated driver's license. They are swamped. I can't even imagine how the underwriters are handling all the applications without rubber stamping a bunch.

I work for a smaller regional bank and swamped doesn’t begin to describe it. Every single person in the bank is working on ppp loans and getting them through the sba system. Constantly having conference calls to update us on the latest guidance from sba and how we need to change what we have been doing. Now we are starting to transition to producing loan docs for the ones we did early this week and it’s starting all over again.

This is what is infuriating.

First Horizon... who STILL isn't doing the damn things... finally sent an email out yesterday telling you to get your prep work in order and to them. And then withing minutes... "Yeah, never mind that. The SBA has changed some requirements again. We'll let you know."

What I think is going on with them... is that they don't really want to participate in the program, but rather than state that, they lead their customers on by sending out emails, hoping they'll seek out an alternative lender.

As far as the SBA's ever changing guidance... why can't they pick something and stick with it.

And yes, I know they probably have good reasons for what they are changing... but geez.

Can you say if there any rejections?

The best quote I have seen is that they are building the plane as they are flying it.

SBA was under intense political pressure to be fast, but with a program of this magnitude, there are just so many issues and situations to deal with. We might have been better off waiting another week to 10 days to open apps to give them time to work out a lot of these issues. Pretty much every change they have made this week is dealing with an issue that was identified and known before apps opened last Friday. These aren't new problems at all.

I'm now working with a small bank in West Texas that I found on another forum. They are not swamped and he's willing to help people out. Let me know if you'd like me to put you n touch with him.

PNC is a big black hole so screw them.

GCB&T cant tell me anything. I'm about ready to file with another bank. I'm assuming if one bank processes my PPP before the other I can always call and cancel.

Whoever files it with the SBA and gets a loan number first owns it. It becomes tied to your EIN.
